Job Description
1. Selected candidates shall be designated as Software Test Associates.
2. The Test Associates thus selected shall undergo a 5 month of intensive academy training programme at Softsmith’s facility at Chennai or Bangalore (also called ADST training)
3. During this training period they shall undergo a conceptual learning and also hands on practical exposure in real time applications by experienced Testers and Test leads of the company in the area of manual and automation testing. The candidate shall bear the cost of this training programme and no salary shall be paid during this training programme. The fee for the training shall be Rs 79000. The fee can also be paid in two installments.
4. On completion of the academy training they will be deployed as technical experts in company’s projects executed at Softsmith Test Labs at Chennai or at Softsmith Clients location anywhere in India.
5. If posted in Chennai or Bangalore, the Test Associates shall be paid Rs 6000 per month from the sixth month onwards (i.e after the completion of their academy training).
6. If posted in cities other than Chennai and Bangalore they shall be paid Rs 9000 per month.
7. Test Associates shall be evaluated for their performance and abilities during the first twelve months (from the date of starting the academy training). During this probationary period they shall be expected to show maturity, knowledge, aptitude and interest in the job they are assigned and willingness to perform to the expectations of the clients.
8. On confirmation the Test associates shall be designated as Software Test Engineers at a higher salary level.
9. Test Associates shall also have an option of getting recruited by Softsmith’s clients during the period of deployment in which case the salary shall be decided by the client & may be higher..

You shall get a Hall ticket with the particulars of the venue, time and date of the written test. You have to take a print out of this Hall ticket and bring the same while coming for the test. 3. You have to also carry a Xerox of the identity proof, such as Voters ID card, Ration Card, Driving Licence, Passport etc to the venue of written test.
